Splitting Large Files Before Upload
If uploading large files over poor WAN links, connection drops may be experienced.
It is therefore recommended to compress large files and break them into smaller file chunks before upload.
This can be done with many tools, such as WinRAR or 7-Zip. Example instructions using 7-Zip are shown below.
Right-click the file you want to split and select 7-Zip > Add to archive...
Selecting Add to archive from the 7-Zip menu.
From the Add to Archive window, edit the archive name if required. By default, the archive is saved to the same folder.
Ensure the Archive format is set to Zip and the Compression level is set to Normal.
To split the compressed files into several smaller files, set Split to volumes, bytes to the required file size, such as 10M.
Configuring ZIP format and split volume size.
Wait for the ZIP files to be created.

Once complete, the configured folder will contain the compressed files. Depending on the options selected, the files will have either a .zip extension or be split into numbered volumes such as .001, .002, and so on.
