This article is intended for administrators wishing to configure vSphere Aria (vRealize) to monitor an SvSAN storage environment.

Installation of Aria, for performance metrics
Select type of installation. The process will vary based on the installation selected.
In this example New installation was utilized.
select Next
Enter administrator account credentials
select Next
Choose a certificate, use default or install a certificate
select Next
Provide a node name and NTP Server address
select Next
select the desired availability for your organization. In this example this step was skipped.
select Next
add additional nodes, if needed. In this example this step was skipped.
select Next
select Finish
Start VMware Aria
Add any cloud Proxy information
Support tab to load or view support files
Add AD/LDAP users if desired. In this example the local administrator was used.
select YES to start Aria operations
The status of cluster will take several minutes to populate dependent upon the size of the environment.
Log into Aria
Aria Configuration wizard will start. select Next.
Accept License Agreement
Select License Model
Select if desired to join the VMware Customer Experience Program
Select Next to complete configuration
Aria Operations Welcome screen will display, select integrations.
Select Accounts > All
Select vCenter
Add vCenter credentials
Verify vCenter credential and select add
Add vCenter, select ADD
Added vCenter will shown, select vCenter to manage, by selecting vCenter hyperlink
Open enviroments tab>Object Browser and select your Data Center
Select the Datastore for information
Under Visualize select view to view performance of datastores, by selecting the relevant object.
Information for Datastore will be populated, this may take a few minutes if this is the first time running Aria.
